GABALA - main sightseeing of
Gabala district ancient Kabala, having been reminded
in written sources of the 1st (Pliney and others).
It existed more than 1800 years, out of them 600 years
it had been capital of Albanian Caucasian. Ruins of
the ancient town are in 15 km from regional center,
allocated on the territory between Garachay and Jourluchay
rivers.

SHEKI - one of the most ancient settlements and cultural centers of Azerbaijan, Sheki was founded more than 2700 years ago at the southern slopes of the Major Caucasus Mountains Chain (370 km to the north-west from Baku). During its millennial history the town used to be devastated many times, so the most part of the historic and architectural monuments currently preserved are dated to the 16th - 19th centuries.
